SFM calls meeting with the Works Committee this Wednesday to address proposals and continue improving railway safety
Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca (SFM) will hold an initial working meeting this Wednesday, 28 January, with the Works Committee following yesterday’s assembly, during which employees agreed to call partial strike action. The meeting will take place at SFM’s institutional headquarters, located in the former Hostal Términus building, at 10:30 am.
The public railway operator has promoted this first meeting with the aim of listening to the specific proposals put forward by the Works Committee and continuing to work jointly on improving railway safety, one of the main priorities of both the Government of the Balearic Islands and SFM.
The Government and SFM approach this first meeting in a constructive spirit, open to hearing all proposals submitted by the Committee, with the objective of continuing to improve railway safety and maintenance across the rail network, while advancing the investment plan being implemented in this area since the beginning of the current legislative term.
SFM’s representation at the meeting will be led by its General Manager, José Ramón Orta.
