Terms of service
The purpose of the Service Regulations is to regulate the general conditions of use of the railway service provided by Servicios Ferroviarios de Mallorca (SFM). It also regulates the obligations of the company and the rights and duties of users.

- Right to be transported, provided they have a valid ticket.
- Right to be covered by compulsory insurance.
- Right to be treated correctly by company staff.
- Blind and/or visually impaired people have priority when it comes to seating.
- Visually impaired and blind persons may board the train accompanied by a guide dog.
- Persons with reduced mobility, pregnant women and elderly persons have priority in occupying seats.
Passengers have the right to:
- Use the same seat throughout the journey.
- Have any person who disturbs the peace removed from the train.
- Use a complaint form.
- Be attended to by SFM staff in either of the two official languages of the Balearic Islands.
- Identify the SFM staff member who attended to them by their railway ID number.
- Carry hand luggage (for immediate and personal use) free of charge.
- Transport various items as permitted by regulations.
- All passengers, except children under 4 years of age, must have a valid ticket.
- Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied at all times by an adult when using SFM services.
- Passengers must comply with any disciplinary measures imposed by security and police personnel.
- Follow the instructions of company staff, signs and public address announcements.
- Comply with the measures and controls established by the authorities.
- Behave correctly and respectfully towards other users and company staff.
- Respect the furniture and equipment on the trains.
- Identify yourself when requested to do so by SFM staff.
- Entering and exiting the train through access points that do not open on the platform side.
- Opening the access doors or entering/exiting carriages outside stations or when the train is not stationary.
- Leaning out of the carriage when the train is in motion.
- Activating the train's emergency devices without just cause.
- Entering the train's driver's cab.
- Crossing the tracks at places not designated for this purpose.
- Smoking in carriages, on platforms, in corridors, on stairs and on railway transport.
- Riding skateboards, bicycles or similar devices inside trains and facilities.
- Carrying explosive or flammable materials, or packages that may disturb others or damage equipment.
- Entering the platform or carriages with any type of weapon.
- Throwing objects out of the train windows.
- Occupying more than one seat.
- Placing bulky objects in places other than those authorised.
- Carrying packages that do not fit under the seat.
- Using non-personalised music equipment.
- Taking photographs or video images without the appropriate permission.
- Street vending, begging, putting up posters or distributing advertising.
- Any action that may endanger the movement of trains.
